Man Arrested For Driving Intoxicated With Passenger Under 16 Years Old

A man from Darlington was arrested for driving intoxicated with a passenger under the age of 16. According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, 44 year old Fredy Colindres-Rodriguez of Darlington was arrested on Highway 23 in Darlington Townshiparound 10:35pm Sunday for Operating While Intoxicated with a passenger 16 year old or younger and Resisting/Obstruction. Colindres-Rodriguez was taken to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remainsin custody. Darlington Police assisted. Colindres-Rodriguez was also cited for Operating without a Valid License, Operating Left of Center, Possession of Open Intoxicants, and Failure to Maintain Brake Lights.
