The details of the tentative Grant County Employment Agreement with newly hired County Administrator-Sheriff Nate Dreckman have been released. Dreckman will receive a salary of $135,000 with an increase of five percent following a satisfactory evaluation at his first performance review. In 2026, Dreckman will be eligible to receive the general pay incresae provided to the Department Heads in the County. He is also eligible for the health insurance benefits provided by the county.
Sheriff Dreckman will resign as Sheriff effective September 30th and will assume the duties as County Administrator on October 1st. The contract is contigent on approval of the corporation counsel, completion of a background check and approval of the agreement by the full county board.
