On Sunday, August 18th the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit (Diego) conducted a traffic stop in the Township of Freeman. During the stop, K-9 Diego was deployed and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances. 46-year-old Nicola Garfield of Winona, MN, was discovered to be in possession of numerous baggies of methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia. Garfield was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail jumping.
