The public is invited to provide comments on the Platteville Police Department as part of an accreditation process. A team of assessors from Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group is examining all aspects of the police department’s policy and procedures, management, operation and support service, according to a press release. A press release states that accreditation assessors will be at the police department this week until Thursday, Oct. 3. As part of the on-site assessment, members of the community are invited to offer comments by calling 608-348-2313, ext. 2330, from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Community members also may speak with an assessor directly during that time period at the police department.Â
