New Grant County Sheriff appointed

Grant County now has a new Sheriff. Gov. Tony Evers appointed Craig Reukauf to be the new sheriff in Grant County. Right now, Reukauf is the jail administrator for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Prior to that, he served as a jailer, deputy sheriff, detective, patrol sergeant and detective sergeant for the agency. Reukauf will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Sheriff Nate Dreckman. Dreckman resigned to become the first ever Grant County Administrator. Reukauf will complete the remainder of Dreckman’s term, which ends in January of 2027. Reukauf has more than 25 years of experience in the Sheriff’s office.
