Sheriff’s departments in Wisconsin are collecting donations to assist their colleagues in two hurricane-stricken states. The Badger State Sheriffs’ Association has launched its Sheriffs Adopting Sheriffs program to assist employees of sheriffs’ departments and their families affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida and North Carolina. The program is designed to bring direct relief to sheriffs’ department employees who leave their families during times of major emergencies to go to work helping others. Donations will be collected by local Wisconsin sheriff’s departments until Friday, Nov. 22.
