A state ethics board will investigate complaints filed last year by the former president of Northeast Iowa Community College against college board members who voted to terminate his contract. The Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board recently voted to accept and investigate a complaint filed in November 2023 by Herbert Riedel against Board Member Wendy Knight, along with a complaint filed that same month by Riedel’s wife, Lisa Riedel, against Board Chair Jim Anderson. The ethics board will investigate and anticipates presenting findings at the board’s spring meeting, for which a date has not been set.
