Two state agencies are urging Wisconsinites to check their homes for cucumbers supplied by SunFed Produce sold between Oct. 12 and Nov. 26 due to their connection to several Salmonella infections across multiple states. The state Department of Health Services (DHS) and Department of Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) said in a news release Friday they and other local, state and federal agencies are investigating the outbreak. Some of the cucumbers are labeled with stickers that display “SunFed Mexico.” The release said the cucumbers are linked to 68 Salmonella cases across 19 states. Three of the people infected are from Wisconsin. An investigation into the outbreak is ongoing.
