The Grant County Board of Supervisors held a special meeting on December 27 to undo some of decisions from their regular December board meeting. At their regular meeting, the board decided to upgrade the former BMO Bank building to house Unified Services of Grant and Iowa Counties. After learning renovations would cost an additional $1 million from what they were told and the fact simply allocating the money did not protect it, the board chose to reverse course. Instead, the board will be using the funds to purchase the property in South Lancaster that houses Unified Services and recouping the cost of the Annex Building purchase.
