Mineral Point Player Makes State Award List

A Mineral Point linebacker has been named as a semi-finalist for a Wisconsin Sports Network award. The Wis-Sports website lists Will Straka as one of the 16 semi-finalists for the John Anderson Award. This honor is given annually to the state’s top senior linebacker as part of WSN’s Senior Football Awards program. The award is named after John Anderson, a former Waukesha South standout who went on to star at the University of Michigan and later with the Green Bay Packers. The list will be trimmed down to 5 finalists after the regular season.
