The Grant County Sheriff’s Department is still looking for information about a crash that happened last Friday north of Dickeyville. In a report from the sheriff’s office, authorities say two people from Oshkosh were injured in the crash around 2:30 Friday afternoon along Highway 151. The vehicle, driven by 76-year-old Jeffrey Olmstead, left the road and went airborne before falling into a creek bed near Clay Hollow Road. A passenger, 73-year-old Sharon Olmstead, was able to crawl out of the partially submerged vehicle. Her husband Jeffrey was trapped inside until first responders were able to assist. Jeffrey was taken by Air-Care to UW Hospital. Sharon was treated at Southwest Health in Platteville. The sheriff’s office believes a maroon colored mini-van with a silver enclosed trailer may have forced the Olmstead vehicle off the roadway. Those with information about this crash or that vehicle are being asked to contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
