As of early Tuesday, the Grant County Health Department has identified 35 confirmed cases of COVID-19. This total includes six confirmed cases who have recovered and six who have died. The most recent deaths were persons over 70 years of age. This past weekend, in partnership with Orchard Manor, the Grant County Health Department participated in an aggressive screening campaign at the Orchard Manor facility. This effort was made possible with the assistance of the Wisconsin National Guard. Twenty-five National Guard Members, along with Orchard Manor and Health Department staff, collected over 240 samples from both residents and staff as part of facility-wide screening. This testing identified 3 new resident cases. There have been 19 confirmed resident cases to date including several that were asymptomatic. The weekend screening did not identify any new staff testing positive. However, 2 staff tested positive for COVID-19 earlier last week bringing the total number of staff testing positive for COVID-19 to eight.
