A motorcycle crash has resulted in Grant County’s second motor vehicle fatality of 2020. Monday afternoon, just after 3pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a motorcycle crash off Highway 133 in Woodman township. 65 year old Ernest Reynolds of La Crosse, formally of Boscobel, was driving a motorcycle on Highway 133 just north of County Highway C. While negotiating a corner, the bike left the roadway, went down an embankment, struck a tree, and went through a barbed wire fence. Reynolds was ejected from the motorcycle and landed a short distance from the motorcycle. The motorcycle came to rest against a tree. Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Corner. Highway 133 was closed for a short time due to the crash. Assisting at the scene were the Woodman First responders, Mount Hope fire Department, Boscobel Rescue Squad and Terry’s Tire and Tow. The crash remains under investigation.
