A Platteville man was arrested early Friday for an assault that happened almost two months ago. Dubuque Police say 35-year-old Jeremy Bakken faces charges of 1st-degree robbery, 2nd-degree theft and was wanted for a probation violation. He was booked on the charges at Dubuque’s Law Enforcement Center about 2:15am Friday. Reports say Bakken was at a residence in Dubuque on May 12th. A person at the home noticed Bakken going through a woman’s purse. That woman later confronted Bakken about $1-thousand dollars that was missing. Bakken told her he hid the money in an alley and he’d take her to it. When arriving at the alley, Bakken took the woman’s phone and shoved her to the ground – causing multiple fractures to her tailbone. During the assault, Bakken grabbed the woman’s car keys and later stole her vehicle as well.
