Baldwin Suggests Legislation To Combat Price Gouging

A bill introduced by US Senator Tammy Baldwin combats price gouging during the pandemic. The Wisconsin Democrat says her legislation would invest a billion dollars into the Federal Trade Commission for oversight.  Baldwin says big companies have been using recent events to unfairly raise prices. She says in times like this you often see a price spike but they’re not necessarily justified. Her bill has wide-ranging Democratic support but no Republicans have said they support it.
