MADISON, Wis. — The Badgers men’s basketball team’s rise continued Monday.
For the third week in a row, Wisconsin climbed the Associated Press poll and is now up to No. 15. The Badgers were ranked No. 17 last week and No. 22 the week before.
The Badgers’ record stands at 9-2 and they have won four straight games. The team is undefeated in December, with one game remaining before the calendar flips over to 2023.
Wisconsin is one of three Big Ten teams ranked in the Top 25 this week. Purdue remained No. 1 for the third week in a row, and Indiana rose to No. 16. The Big Ten had four ranked teams last week, but Illinois fell out of the Top 25 following a blowout loss to the Missouri Tigers.
The Badgers are back in action on Friday when Western Michigan visits the Kohl Center. The Broncos are 4-8 this season and have not won a game against an NCAA Div. 1 team since Nov. 18.
Friday’s tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
