After more than 100 years in business, a well-known Dubuque retailer is set to close in early 2025. Rhomberg’s Fur & Leather Gallery will close March 31, according to fourth-generation owner Jim Rhomberg. The store specializes in handcrafted fur and leather goods, among other items. The closure is prompted by the lack of a fifth generation interested in carrying on the business, Rhomberg said, as well as the recent retirement of two longtime employees.
