The man accused in a Prairie du Chien homicide has pleaded not guilty. In Crawford County Court Tuesday, 39-year-old Jessie Slaughter of Lancaster, Wisconsin pleaded not guilty to 1st degree intentional homicide. Slaughter is accused in the October death of 65-year-old Daniel Welsch of Prairie du Chien. Slaughter is held on a $250,000 cash bond. His next court appearance is set for March 10.
