Minor injuries following two vehicle crash in Belmont

On Saturday just before 8:30 AM Belmont Fire, Belmont EMS, and a Lafayette County deputy responded to Wood ST in Belmont for a two vehicle accident. 37-year-old Thomas J. Skattum of Belmont was traveling on Wood ST when 66-year-old Robert J. Runde of Belmont failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Skattum. Both Skattum and Runde were treated for minor injuries. Skattum’s vehicle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Runde’s vehicle received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Runde was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
