East Dubuque man arrested for OWI

Authorities said an intoxicated driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash in Jo Daviess County. 21-year-old Juan M. Martinez of East Dubuque, Ill., was transported by ambulance to Midwest Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, according to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Department. A press release states that Martinez was driving north on North Menominee Road at approximately 8:15 p.m. Tuesday when his vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, struck a culvert and rolled over, coming to a rest on its tires. Martinez was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol.
