Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul on Wednesday joined 14 other attorneys general in a commitment to protect access to gender-affirming care. In a statement, Kaul and the other AGs said the Trump Administration’s Executive Order effectively banning gender-affirming care for people under 19 is “wrong on the science and the law.” The coalition’s statement comes less than a week after a group of attorneys general, including Kaul, were able to secure a temporary restraining order blocking the Trump Administration from imposing a blanket freeze on federal funding. Kaul is joined in the coalition by attorneys general from multiple states including Illinois.
