Multiple people won’t seek reelection in Lancaster

The City of Lancaster has announced that the Mayor, the District 1 Alderperson, and the At-Large Alderperson will not run for reelection. Mayor Stuart Harper, At-Large Alderperson Crystal Riley, and Alderperson District 1 (Wards 1 & 5) Mike Johansen have informed the city they will not run for office again. If you are interested in running for office, you must file nomination papers with the City Clerk no later than January 6, 2026 at 5pm. This position will be elected on April 7, 2026.
