Wednesday’s decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to halt the governor’s Safer at Home order has cities and villages trying to come up with some sort of plan. League of Wisconsin Municipalities Director Jerry Deschane says “it definitely feels like chaos.” Deschane says a statewide uniform compromise is better than a patchwork quilt of guidelines from different local governments. He says many community leaders are calling their neighbors and saying, “Hey, what are you going to do?” The ruling ended Safer at Home immediately, leaving no time to transition to a different approach.
