Authorities in Crawford County have confirmed that a body found in the Wisconsin River Friday morning is that of a man who went missing following a boat crash on May 3. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was called around 8 a.m. after the body was discovered just west of the Boscobel boat landing. Officials with the Wisconsin DNR say the crash on May 3 happened when the boat struck a log and began taking on water. Two adult males and a child were on the boat. The child was wearing a life jacket, but the two adults were not. The child and one of the adults made it to shore safely. Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are still investigating the incident.
