Mineral Point Woman Injured in Lafayette County Crash

Lafayette County authorities say a woman was injured Thursday when she crashed into a power pole near Belmont. 22 year old Kyla Steffes of Mineral Point reported minor injuries but declined being transported to a hospital by ambulance. According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened at about 6am Thursday on County Highway G. Steffes was traveling east when she failed to negotiate a curve. Her vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic, then entered a ditch, where it crashed into a power pole. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
