Senator Howard Marklein of Spring Green has announced re-election plans to continue representing Southwest Wisconsin’s 17th district. The district includes all of Grant and Lafayette counties and part of Iowa County. The 67 year old Marklein is a certified public accountant and has held the seat since 2015. Prior to that, he was a state representative from 2011 to 2014.
