Multiple fire departments responded to a farm in rural Lafayette County Friday morning. According to the sheriff’s office, Shullsburg fire was called around 6 a.m. for a fully engulfed barn fire on County Highway U in Seymour Township. Departments from Belmont, Darlington and Gratiot, along with Shullsburg EMS, were paged for assistance. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office says crews were at the scene for roughly four hours. The barn is considered a total loss. No injuries to people or livestock have been reported to the sheriff’s department.
