A Cuba City man has been arrested for drunk driving after a single-vehicle crash early Monday. Deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office were called around 2:15a to County Highway H, just west of Cuba City near Alt Road. Authorities say 33-year-old Eliezer Antonio Cantillano-Fernandez swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway. He lost control of his vehicle, went into the ditch, struck a culvert and then hit a tree. Following an investigation, Cantillano-Fernandez was arrested for operating while intoxicated. He was also cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle, operating without insurance, and operating without a valid drivers license. No injuries were reported in the crash.
