Jones gained 799 yards on the ground for the Packers during the 2021 season, and Packers fans funded an additional 42 pairs of shoes to be donated through the effort. The shoes will be passed out to kids at Boys & Girls Clubs in the Fox Valley, Green Bay, Oshkosh, Washington County and Kenosha areas.
“The joy on the kids’ faces when they get a new pair of shoes is always priceless. I’m glad we’re able to give over 800 pairs to kids across the state,” Jones said in a statement.
Jones started his own charity, A&A All The Way Foundation, with his twin brother, Alvin Jones, Jr. in October 2020, and the shoe donation initiative began during the 2020-2021 postseason before being extended into the entire 2021 season.
Jones was nominated as the Packers’ nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award for his community service in 2021.
