Construction is set to move forward on a Cassville Solar Project – that’s after regulators gave final approval to the 2nd phase of Alliant Energy’s solar development plans. The 50-megawatt solar project in Grant County will generate enough electricity to power nearly 13,000 homes. Alliant Energy says construction of the 325 acre site will create more than 100 jobs. Work is planned to begin this summer and finish late next year. The Cassville Solar Project is among 12 sites Alliant Energy is developing as part of its Clean Energy Blueprint. According to a release, the project will generate an estimated $200,000 in annual shared revenue for the community and county over the next 30 years.
