Mineral Point Man Arrested For Violating No Contact Order

Authorities in Iowa County received a report of a Mineral Point man in violation of a no contact order at an address on High Street in Mineral Point Tuesday around 10:30am. Mineral Point Police responded to the scene and were assisted by Iowa County Deputies. As a result, 29 year old Callan Backstrom of Mineral Point was arrested for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s office, Backstrom was taken to the Iowa County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody.
