No injuries following fire sparked by semi

On Monday at 5:40 PM The Iowa County Communications Center received multiple reports of a fire in the ditch next to US Highway 18-151 near County Road HHH in the Township of Ridgeway. According to the report, a semi-truck dropped a drive shaft which presumably caused sparks and then flame. Barneveld Area Rescue Squad, Ridgeway Fire Department, Ridgeway First Responders, Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies, WI State Patrol, and the Ridgeway Marshal all responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished and all units returned to their quarters.  The semi was towed from the scene.
