The East Hartford Connecticut Animal Control is searching for a suspected squirrel painter. YES, you read that right, someone is on the lam, painting wild squirrels (as opposed to squirrels in captivity?). So far they have spotted a blue colored squirrel, and a red colored squirrel in the area of Naubuc Avenue and High Street. (clearly someone was on ‘High Street’) The good news is that the squirrels appear to be ok, gathering nuts and such, but whoever did this IS clearly nuts. If you know who the alleged painter is, please contact East Hartford Animal Control. They do warn the suspect is considered armed (with paint) and not necessarily dangerous, but definitely squirrelly.
