The Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents announced Monday that it would consider a two-percent tuition increase for the 2026-27 school year, which would impact resident undergraduate students. The regents said the increase is below the current inflation rate and would help cover rising operating costs. The regents are also considering raising segregated fees by an average 3.5 percent, meaning the average annual attendance cost for a resident undergraduate would increase by about 2.5 percent. The proposal is expected to be voted on during the regents’ meeting in Milwaukee, which is being held on Thursday and Friday.
