Republicans Jason Davis and Wayne Kenniker will be on the ballot in November for a chance at two available seats on the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors. Davis secured 3,150 votes in the primary, or 40.4%, while Kenniker received 2,864 votes, or 36.8%. Across the aisle, Democrats Kristin Dietzel and Rick Dickinson had an uncontested primary and also will advance to November’s general election. State level primaries saw Josh Turek win the Democratic Senate primary, while Ashley Hinson won the GOP Senate primary. In the House primaries, Christina Bohannan won the District 1 Democratic primary and Mariennte Miller-Meeks won the GOP House primary. In the House primary for District 2, Joe Mitchell won the GOP primary and Lindsay James won the Democratic primary. In the race for the GOP’s nomination for governor, Zach Lahn was named the winner with 37.8% of the vote over Randy Feenstra who claimed 37% of the vote. Lahn will advance to the general election to face Rob Sand.
