On Sunday at approximately 11:40 a.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck in Ferryville. The operator of the truck was 52-year-old Samuel Hatlan of Gays Mills. During the traffic stop, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances within the truck. A search was conducted, and methamphetamine paraphernalia was discovered. Hatlan was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail-jumping. Also, he will be cited for operating while suspended, non-registration of vehicle, no insurance, and not wearing a seatbelt.
