A Dubuque man has been sentenced to two years of probation for a 2022 assault, an incident in which police said shots were fired. 34-year-old Jermaine F. Wade Jr., 34, recently received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily injury. Wade initially was charged with going armed with intent and reckless use of a firearm but received the amended charge of assault as part of a plea deal. Court documents state that Wade was accused of shooting a gun in the 500 block of Locust Street on Dec. 15, 2022, striking a nearby residence and causing $500 in property damage.
