Authorities said a Delaware County man led law enforcement on a high-speed chase that reached speeds of more than 100 mph on U.S. 20. 34-year-old Dallas Selby of Manchester, was arrested at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 20 west of Dyersville, on charges of eluding and operating while intoxicated. Court documents state that Manchester police attempted to stop Selby’s vehicle around 9 p.m. in Manchester for equipment violations and an active arrest warrant. Selby “immediately fled the traffic stop at a high rate of speed,” documents state. Selby “drove on the wrong side of the roadway and ignored traffic control devices while eluding.” Selby reached a speed of 105 mph in a 65-mph zone. Law enforcement attempted to stop Selby’s vehicle with tire-deflation devices. The pursuit lasted approximately 30 minutes before Selby stopped his vehicle and was taken into custody. Selby exhibited signs of intoxication and alcohol shooters were located in his vehicle.
