The results of the operating referendum proposed by the Platteville School District did not see support from its voters with a 63% (1,712) voting no. Platteville was seeking $10.5 million over 5 (five) years.
Four people ran uncontested for the Platteville School Board. The only question was who will serve three-year terms. Dr. Colleen McCabe (1,613 votes), Steve Obershaw (1,576 votes), and Ashley Oyen’s (1,476 votes) terms on the board run until the spring of 2027. Kecia King received (1,414) votes and will serve a one-year term.
