Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested five people at a gas station in Gratiot Wednesday morning. According to a news release, Deputies were called to the Conoco Boco gas station on Highway 11 just before 7 a.m. after a caller reported seeing two suspicious vehicles. The caller said that people in the vehicles had been using drugs and had at least two guns. Law enforcement were able to make contact with the group and arrested four men and a 28-year-old woman. The men were taken to the Lafayette County Jail and the woman was taken to the Green County Jail on a valid arrest warrant. A 40-year-old man faces charges of possession of methamphetamines, possession of meth paraphernalia, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. 26 year old Dillon Cody Lindsey was arrested on two warrants issued in Lafayette County last year. Court records show he is charged with resisting or obstructing an officer and fleeing or eluding an officer. A 24-year-old man faces charges of possession of cocaine, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating parole. A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of meth paraphernalia and possession of THC. The two vehicles involved in the incident were towed and impounded by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office. An investigation is ongoing and officials say further charges could be issued.
