A Wisconsin man now faces a federal weapons charge, which prompted the dismissal of his attempted murder case in Dubuque. 49 year old Kenneth Moore of Monroe recently was charged in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa with unlawful transport of firearms. No plea had been entered as of Tuesday afternoon. The state charges stemmed from an Aug. 4, 2023, incident in which Dubuque police responded to the 2400 block of Stafford Street for reports of shots fired. A report says police were told Moore had come to a Stafford Street residence and a disturbance took place.
