A Florida man has been sentenced to two years of probation after he displayed a handgun during a Dubuque disturbance. 24-year-old David R. Hall, 24, of Fort Pierce, Fla., recently received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to a charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. If he violates the terms of his probation, Hall faces up to two years in prison. The charges stemmed from a Nov. 12 incident in which court documents state Hall engaged in a physical disturbance with a man in the 1400 block of Central Avenue. During the argument, court documents state Hall pulled out a handgun and held it by his side.
