The Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department responded just before 10 am on Monday (April 15th) to a house fire at 1447 Bluff Road. Fire Chief Gerry Oberbroeckling said no one was at home when the fire started. The fire was still contained to the first floor when fire fighters arrived at the scene. Oberbroeckling indicated the house was a total loss with the fire, smoke and water damage. The cause is still under investigation and fire fighters were on the scene for almost 3 (three) hours. Dickeyville Fire and Rescue provided mutual aid.
