The Oregon School District says one student was hurt Friday morning after being hit by an oncoming car as they were trying to board a school bus. It happened at about 7:30 a.m. on County Highway MM between Oregon and Brooklyn. The Oregon School District sent a letter to parents of students on the bus. In the letter, the district said a student was hit as they were trying to cross the street and board the bus. The student was transported to the hospital. According to those present, the student was awake and alert. All other students on the bus are safe. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
