A man from Lancaster is facing a number of charges following an investigation into a theft which took place earlier this year. The Lancaster Police Department reported 40 year old Norman M. Rockwell was arrested on (14) fourteen counts of theft and (1) one count of obstructing authorities. (13) Thirteen of the charges are felonies. The items missing included a number of firearms along with miscellaneous coins and collecters’ coins. Victim (1) one told authorities that he asked Norman Rockwell to check on his dog and watch the house while the victim was dealing with and recovering from some health issues. Victim (1) one returned home in March and reported the theft to authorities. Victim (2) two was the owner of a firearms store in Benton who purchased eight of the guns in late January and early February. Victim (2) told authorities two of the guns have already been sold. It was determined the theft in Lancaster took place between January 1st and February 26th of this year. A plea of not guilty was entered for Rockwell in Grant County Circuit Court. He will return to court for a preliminary Hearing July 3rd.
