Boscobel’s common council will host a public hearing on Monday to approve the 2025 city budget. The council’s finance committee recommended approval at its last meeting. The initial budget showed a deficit of just under $95,000. The shortfall is attributed to the state imposed limits to the allowable levy. The city intends to adopt advice they were given through an accounting firm, which is to use bank loans to cover the deficit. Citizen are encouraged to attend the public hearing at 7 PM on Monday in City Hall. Detailed copies of the budget can also be viewed at City Hall.
