The City of Platteville in collaboration with Kraemer Brothers and Owen’s Excavation and Trenching is scheduled to begin deconstruction of the O.E. Gray building next week to make space for the new fire facility. A commemorative brick pile will be available for a limited time to the public in the off-street parking lot on Lewis St. Availability dates will be posted on the city’s Facebook page. The City anticipates construction documents for bidding will be available in January. A tentative groundbreaking ceremony on the site is set for March 19 at 12:15 PM.
