Prairie du Chien police are asking residents for help identifying a suspect caught on video during a burglary at what appears to be a bar early Tuesday morning. The break-in occurred around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of S. Beaumont Road, according to a Prairie du Chien Police Department Facebook post Wednesday morning. Video footage shows an individual with their face covered entering the frame from the right side and walking toward the bar’s cash register area. The suspect hits something nearby with a hammer, appears to remove multiple items, then exits the same way with something held underneath their left arm. Police encourage anyone who recognizes the individual in the video or has information about the burglary to contact Lt. Casey Cox at the Prairie du Chien Police Department or submit a tip to the Crawford County Crime Stoppers.
