Gov. Evers in Prairie du Chien for annual back-to-school tour

Gov. Tony Evers visited schools in Madison, Monroe and Prairie du Chien on Wednesday as part of his annual statewide back-to-school tour. Evers met with students, parents and school staff as they prepare for the new school year. He said the visits offer a chance to hear directly from communities about their needs. Evers said Wisconsin schools improved from 18th to the top five in the country during his administration. This is his 50th back-to-school season outside his own time as a student. He began his career as a science teacher in Baraboo.
