A soundtrack tied to one of animation’s recent hits has joined an exclusive piece of chart history. KPop Demon Hunters has now matched Moana for the longest stay at No. 1 on the Top Soundtracks chart.
The latest Billboard chart update shows KPop Demon Hunters reaching 62 weeks in the top position, equaling the record set by Moana. The chart has tracked soundtrack albums connected to movies, television productions, stage shows and other projects since 2001.
The two releases stand ahead of several other animated favorites with lengthy runs. Frozen II spent 51 weeks at No. 1, while the original Frozen logged 44 weeks. Encanto follows with 41 weeks at the top.
